The Co-operation and Working Together (CAWT) health services partnership has secured funding from the EU’s INTERREG VA programme to support a large-scale cross border mental health recovery project within Northern Ireland and the border region of Ireland.

The 4 year cross border Innovation Recovery project will deliver mental health education in order to support people to better understand and manage their mental health.

The project is establishing cross border Hubs in the following 3 areas:

  • Derry-Donegal

  • Fermanagh-Cavan-Monaghan-Sligo-Leitrim

  • Belfast-Armagh-Newry-Dundalk.

Those managing the project will be seeking applications from community/voluntary organisations to establish and manage a local multi-agency group within a defined Hub area.

It is intended that successful applicants will work closely with the Recovery College team to guide the planning and delivery of the local implementation of the project and ensure that it is responsive to the mental health needs of local people.

A series of information events are scheduled for May 2018 to update on plans to establish the local multi-agency groups, to explain how people can become involved and to answer questions.

If you would like to find out more, please come along to one of the scheduled events:

Tuesday 15th May 2.30pm – 4pm Ballybot House, Cornmarket, Newry

Thursday 17th May 2.30pm- 4pm Holywell Trust, Bishop Street, Derry/Londonderry
