Daisy Hill Emergency Department is expected to top the agenda at today's Southern Trust public board meeting.

The Newry hospital department's staffing shortage is stable in the short-term but a long-term fix has yet to be established.

The risk still looms of cut hours for it's A&E but the Trust and health service stakeholders say they're determined to keep it a round-the-clock service.

After meeting the Trust, campaigning committee member Seana Grant says it may take time for a long-term solution to come about:
