Following two serious assaults on Portrush East Strand, MLA John Dallat is asking Causeway Coast and Glens Council to appoint beach wardens.
The two teenage boys were viciously attacked in the sand dunes on Tuesday 25 July around 7 pm..
Broken glass often makes the dunes hazardous.
Mr Dallat says beach patrols would deter the violence and litter:
