Funeral arrangements for Dean McIlwaine still not made public

Funeral arrangements for Dean McIlwaine whose body was found on the Cave Hill still haven't been made public.

The 22 year old's remains were discovered on Saturday after he was reported missing for over a week.

Police aren't treating the Newtownabbey man's death as suspicious.

Dean's Aunt has thanked the police and everyone who helped search for the 22-year-old from Newtownabbey.

Kim said: "I'm sure by now most of you are aware Dean Mac was found yesterday it wasn't unfortunately the outcome was had hoped and prayed for but we have him back.

Adding, "to say Karen Rod and Glen demi jo steph and the entire family are heartbroken is an understatement Dean was a loving gorgeous talented hard working young man who had everything going for him what a waste of his precious life our family will never be the same without you Dean we love u with all our hearts rest easy son god bless see you on the other side"

"Can we just thank the police, Shaun from the search and rescue team,Paul.mccusker and bronagh from the belfast city council teams, kay tourist who works with the homeless and every single person who has shared our posts prayed with us and searched with us gave us the shirts made posters for us tescos Northcott for sending food bellevue taxis for giving free taxis to the search point and mostly davy mccrum who brought him back to us"

"It has been absolutely unbelievable I'm sure I've missed someone out but from the bottom of our hearts we thank every single person God bless xo".

The PSNI have not formally identified the body found on Cave Hill yesterday but they have told us they're not treating the death as suspicious.
