Drugs estimating £26,000 removed from Mid Ulster streets in 6 weeks

Over the last 6 weeks Mid Ulster District Support Team (DST) have seized and removed drugs from the streets of Mid Ulster with an estimated value of £26,000. 

These include: 

  • 40 grams of Cannabis Resin 
     
  • 33.5 Grams of Cocaine
     
  • 220 Grams of White Powder - believed to be Cocaine, currently being forensically tested 
     
  • 188 Prescription Tablets 
     
  • 14 Grams of MDMA 
     
  • 2.3 Kilos of Herbal Cannabis

£2495 in cash was also seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act, believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing. 

As well as drug seizures there were 8 vehicles seized for no insurance along with multiple other driving offences like no driving license, no MOT, taking and driving away, defective tyres and fraudulent use of insurance certificates. 

Endorsable fixed penalty notices were issued for other motoring offences. 

There was 12 arrests made for drug offences, public order offences and motoring offences.
