Firearms holders can come along to a roadshow outlining the online application process.
The PSNI is holding an event in Dungannon Library on Thursday 24th November.
There’ll be two sessions at 3.45pm and 6.15pm.
Laptops and tablets are available at the events to allow the public to complete the application form.
Discussing the new process Nichola Murphy, Head of Firearms and Explosives Branch says they have been working with the IT department and NI Direct to develop a robust online application process.
“The new application will ensure we are more effective and efficient in delivering our services to the public.
“I would encourage anyone who will be applying for an initial grant, re-grant or variation in the future to come to one of the Dungannon Library roadshows, which will provide them with an opportunity to complete an application form online,” she says.
And she adds: “The roadshows will give the public the opportunity to try at first hand the new online technology and also gives us the opportunity to go through the new process step by step with them.”
All attendees will require an email address in order to complete the online application form. However, if you do not currently have one, you can forward your name and address to paul@ignite.it or contact him on 08000 488638.
Please confirm your attendance by contacting Gwen Sweeney at the Police Service of Northern Ireland on gwen.sweeney@psni.pnn.police.uk or telephone the non-emergency number 101 Ext: 33650.
