The DUP has told Q Radio its campaigns meet all legal and regulatory conditions.

It comes after the party's alleged links to Cambridge Analytica were raised in the House of Commons.

The data firm is at the centre of a scandal surrounding the harvesting and storing of people's social media data.

Liberal Democrat MP Layla Moran (Oxford West and Abingdon) said: "It's been recently revealed that a portion of the largest ever political donation given to a party in Northern Ireland was spent on services linked to Cambridge Analytica."

A DUP spokesperson told Q Radio: "Encouraging people to come out and vote for your party is what election campaigns exist to achieve. We want to communicate our message as widely as possible, and this includes the use of social media.

"Our campaigns meet all legal and regulatory conditions."

Both Cambridge Analytica and Facebook deny any wrongdoing.
