Police are investigating the explosion of a “pipe bomb-type device” in east Belfast.
The incident occurred on Monday when the device exploded at the front door of a house in the Sheskin Way area, causing damage to the door and windows at the property.
A man and woman were inside the house at the time but were not injured.
Police and emergency services attended and removed a number of items for examination.
Cordons were in place at the scene overnight but have since been removed.
The PSNI are appealing for anyone who noticed “any suspicious activity in the area” to assist in their investigation.
