The PSNI are no longer treating the death of an elderly man in Newtownards as suspicious.

It follows a Post Mortem Examination on the body of 71-year-old John Trolan.

He was found seriously hurt at his home on Mark Street on Thursday morning.

Detective Chief Inspector Gareth Talbot said: "Following police investigations and a post mortem examination carried out today, Detectives from PSNI’s Serious Crime Branch are no longer investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 71 year old John Trolan from Newtownards which is now deemed to be non-suspicious."
