The blaze happened on Monday afternoon
The words of SDLP Limavady Councillor John Deighan, after an operator helped save a family from a house fire.
The blaze happened at four o'clock on Monday afternoon, with three emergency vehicles attending.
Two adults and three children were stuck inside the property in Magilligan, County Londonderry.
The telephone responder from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service instructed them on to a flat roof, where they made it to safety.
All were treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries.
Speaking to Q Radio, Deighan says he doesn't know what the family must have been feeling.
