A fifth person has been arrested as part of a major investigation into the supply of heroin in Belfast.

The 23 year old man was detained in the city centre earlier and is being questioned at Musgrave police station.

Four other men were arrested yesterday.

A 37 year old was later released on police bail.

The other suspects, aged 20, 26 and 33, are due before Belfast Magistrates court today.

Speaking after the latest development Detective Inspector Andy Dunlop said: “If you are involved in the supply of drugs, you should expect to be arrested.

"We will relentlessly pursue those suspected of such offences.

"There are further arrests to follow.”
