Belfast City Airport has confirmed emergency measures were carried out when a flight turned back shortly after take-off.
An Eastern Airways plane on route to the Isle of the Man requested to come back for what's understood to be a precaution.
Fire crews were in attendance, as well as the RNLI in Larne and Donaghadee.
Following a second attempt at departure, the flight landed successfully at its destination.
