The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service is dealing with a major fire at a commercial property in Ballymoney.

Around 30 Firefighters are currently at the property on Kird Road.

People living nearby are being advised to keep windows and doors closed due to the fumes.

A large cloud of black smoke can be seen for miles around the site.

It's also still unclear how the fire started earlier this afternoon.

A Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) Spokesperson said: “Over 30 Firefighters, 4 Fire Appliances and a Command Support Unit are currently tackling fire in a large commercial workshop on the Kirk Road, Ballymoney.

“The call was received at 3.43pm today.

"The incident is ongoing.”
