The National Trust compiled a list of twelve festive walk destinations, with the Giant's Causeway making the cut
From turkey dinners to the Queen’s speech, Christmas is a time for tradition. One of the most popular activities at this time of year is a festive walk, and this year a staggering 43 million people are set to head outdoors with family and friends.
70% of the UK say it’s their favourite way to spend quality time together. It tops other festive activities such as watching TV, preparing the Christmas dinner and readying the house for guests.
So the Trust compiled a '12 Walks of Christmas list' with the Giant's Causeway making the grade. It's in good company too, joined by the Botallack mine in Cornwall, made famous by TV show Poldark.
