Gun and suspected cannabis seized in Newtownabbey

A gun and suspected cannabis have been seized in Newtownabbey - following a planned search.

It was carried out in the Fairview Road area yesterday.

A 22-year-old man was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm in suspicious circumstances and possession of a Class B controlled drug.

The suspect will appear in court next month.
