The Housing Executive has issued advice to people as Storm Ophelia approaches Northern Ireland.

They'll only be accepting emergency calls, on 03448 920 901.

If you experience flooding, you're advices to call NI Waterline on 0300 2000 100

If you experience a loss of electricity, you're advised to call NIE Customer Networks helpline on 03457 643643.

The following provisions are in place for homeless presenters and rough sleepers in Northern Ireland-

 

The Salvation Army’s Crash Centre at Centenary House in Central Belfast will open at 3:00pm instead of 10:00pm.

 

Welcome Centre outreach staff have been out from early this morning engaging with Rough Sleepers and bringing them to their facility.

 

Emergency arrangements have been put in place to increase the number of crash beds at Annesgate (junction of Anne Street and Church Lane) for homeless presenters.


The Welcome Centre’s Drop In facility at Townsend Street in Belfast will remain open all night, if necessary.


MUST Hostel on 73 Molesworth St, Cookstown Co.Tyrone can provide emergency shelter if necessary – staff are on-site 24 hours a day.


Castlehill Hostel in Dungannon is available for emergency shelter.


In Derry/Londonderry, Damien House Hostel at Foyle Road is available for emergency shelter. The emergency night service number is 07540100208.
