Joyriders have been condemned after children and residents in Jonesborough had to jump walls to escape their path.
It's understood the driver sped up and down the Edenappa Road while children played in front of their homes on Sunday afternoon.
He and his passenger performed handbrake turns causing damage to a number of cars.
Locals believe the incident was fuelled by drink and drugs.
Local councillor Mickey Larkin said, "Those responsible... crossed into the village from County Louth.
"They are not welcome in our community. The residents of Jonesborough will not tolerate the rampages of reckless drivers like this."
He added, "Children should be able to play safely on the streets of our towns and villages."
The PSNI is investigating.
