Leigh Crozier, a student at Enniskillen Royal Grammar School is one of 25 students who has been awarded a a scholarship with the Dyson Institute of Technology.
It has been set up by billionaire inventor and vacuum cleaner entrepeneur Sir James Dyson.
Leigh is a pupil at Enniksillen Royal Grammer School.
She will be one of 25 students awarded a place at the Wiltshire based campus where she'll learn about engineering through hands on experience, working alongside Dyson technology experts.
Reported in the Impartial Reporter, Sir James Dyson sent a letter to her school.
He said his company saw a "vast number of exceptional candidates" but Leigh showed exactly the mind-set and academic rigour of a Dyson engineer."
As part of a four year programme, the 18 year old will earn a competitive salary and have her tuition fee paid for by Dyson ensuring she leaves her education debt free.
She will also be taught every aspect of the technology that goes into a Dyson machine.
