Locals urged to go to hospital shake up meeting

Activists are urging Newry locals to attend Monday's public meeting on the future of our hospitals.

The department of health is holding 13 across the province.

It commissioned a report that proposed some Daisy Hill services be centralised in Craigavon.

But Francis Gallagher from the hospital's support Group believes locals will be disadvantaged if the stroke unit is moved:

The meeting will be held on Monday at 7pm at the Conference and Banqueting Centre.
