Mourne Mountain Rescue have been called out to help a couple of lost walkers.
They'd become disoriented in Rostrevor Forest yesterday evening around 5:30pm and called for help as daylight diminished.
Police Air Support were dispatched and managed to locate the couple and their dogs who were brought to safety by mountain rescue a few hours later.
In a call-out report Mourne Mountain Rescue said, "With the addition of darkness and a considerable drop in temperature, the couple opted to call for help. Fortunately, with a phone signal, a team Coordinator was able to speak with the couple and ascertain their approximate location. This was then re-affirmed by the use of SARLOC technology. This enabled the team to quickly access the couple and their three dogs in an area known as The Fallows.
"In addition to Police Air Support, a total of 19 members responded and stood down at 2045 hrs."
