A man charged with rioting on the night Lyra McKee was killed in Derry-Londonderry has been banned from posting on social media.

38 year-old Christopher Gillen from Balbane Pass in the city is also accused of petrol bomb offences in the Creggan area when the incident happened in April 2019.

One of his bail conditions was a ban on direct or indirect engagement with dissident republican group Saoradh and the court ruled a comment by the defendant on social media was in breach of that.

Bail was granted with the added condition Gillen does not engage with social media at all.

He is due in court again on Thursday.
