Man armed with scissors steals cash from East Belfast shop

A man armed with scissors has threatened a customer and demanded money at a shop in East Belfast.

It happened at a premises on the Woodstock Road at around 8.20 last night.

Police say he made off with a sum of cash from the till.

 

 

A PSNI spokesperson said:


"Police received a report that at around 8.20am a man had entered a shop armed with a pair of scissors. He threatened a customer with the scissors and demanded money from staff. "

"He made off with a sum of cash from the till.  He is described as being aged in his late 20s or early 30s, approximately 5’8” tall and of slim build."  

"He was wearing a blue hooded top and grey track bottoms and had a black scarf covering his face."

"The suspect was reported to have been in the company of a pregnant female earlier in the evening."

"She is described as being approximately 5’4” tall with blonde hair tied back.  She was wearing a cream coloured coat and pink scarf."
