Man arrested at Heathrow brought to NI for questioning as part of PSNI's Operation Arbacia

A 62 year-old man arrested under the Terrorism Act at Heathrow Airport earlier has been brought to Northern Ireland for questioning.

The arrest is linked to an ongoing investigation into the activities of the New IRA.

The suspect who lives in Scotland was arrested as part of Operation Ar-bah-see-ah and is currently being held at Musgrave Serious Crime Suite.

Following the arrest officers from Police Scotland searched a property in Edinburgh

10 people have now been arrested as part of the police probe - two of them have been charged and appeared in court earlier.
