Man dies following west Belfast crash

A 48-year old man has died after being hit by a car in west Belfast. 

It happened on the Andersonstown Road road at around 4.40 yesterday afternoon. 

He was involved in a collision with a red Toyota Aygo close to the junction with Slievegallion Drive shortly after 4:40pm.

A 19-year-old woman was arrested at the scene.

She's since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Police are appealing for anyone who was travelling on the Andersonstown Road around the time of the collision and who witnessed anything or anyone who may have dash-cam footage of the collision to contact local officers.
