A man has escaped serious injury after being stabbed in the stomach in Derry/Londonderry.
The victim was attacked by two men, one armed with a knife, at flats in the Hawkin Street area of Derry/Londonderry at around 4.15pm yesterday.
He was struck a number of times and stabbed before the two attackers left the scene on foot.
A PSNI spokesperson says, "Fortunately the man sustained superficial injuries which did not require hospital treatment."
Meanwhile, two men aged 34 and 35 have been have been arrested on suspicion of attempted grievous bodily harm with intent and assault.
Both remain in custody at this time assisting officers with their enquiries.
Police are appealing to anyone who may witnessed the incident or those with information to contact them on 101 quoting reference number 1207 27/04/20.
