Police are appealing for witnesses following a report of an assault in south Belfast yesterday evening.
Inspector Brown said: “Police received and responded to a report of an assault on a male in the Dublin Road area at around 9.45pm.
“Following an altercation, the man fell and sustained a head injury.
“Colleagues from Northern Ireland Ambulance Service also attended the scene, and the male was taken to hospital, where he remains in a stable but serious condition at this time.
“Enquiries into this incident are ongoing, and we are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed it, or who may have any information which could assist, to call 101 and quote reference number 2018 of 28/05/22.”
