Man shot four times in "paramilitary style" attack

A man has been shot in both legs in a paramilitary-style attack in Belfast.

The shooting happened in the Bread Street area of the city around 9pm last night.

The victim was dragged in to an alleyway by two men and shot twice in each leg.

His injuries aren't thought to be life threatening.

The suspects were dressed in black and made off in the direction of the Divis Estate.

Detective Inspector Michelle Griffin would appeal to anyone who has information about this incident to contact Detectives at Reactive and Organised Crime at Musgrave on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 1320 29/09/16. Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
