Man with knife holds up Larne hotel

A man with a knife has stolen a substantial sum of money from a Larne hotel.

It happened at the premises on the Coast Road shortly before 11 o'clock last night.

Police say a staff member was left 'extremely shaken' by the incident.

The culprit was dressed in dark jeans, dark hooded coat and wore a white scarf over his face.

After leaving the hotel the man got into a vehicle which was seen heading in the direction of Larne.

Anyone with information about the armed robbery is asked to contact detectives at Larne on 101, or through the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
