Mary Lou McDonald has been nominated as President Elect for Sinn Fein.
The announcement was made at the party's AGM on Saturday morning.
The current deputy leader will succeed Gerry Adams, who's standing down after nearly 35 years in charge.
McDonald paid tribute to the outgoing head.
