Sinn Fein has accused the Government of abandoning its impartiality when it comes to the Northern Ireland peace process.

The party's Vice President, Michelle O'Neill has also told Q Radio Theresa May is "playing chicken" with the EU over Brexit.

It comes as party delegates prepare to meet the Prime Minister at Downing Street this morning.

In an interview before those discussions Ms O'Neill told us, "her Government has failed to provide any way forward and her Government has given cover to the DUP in the denial of rights".

Adding that, "the reality is that the British Government have abandoned any notion of impartiality in terms of trying to co-guarantor our peace process".

On Brexit, the Republic party's Leas Uachtarán said: "We want to put it very firmly to Theresa May today that it's time to end the games, it's a time to stop playing chicken with the EU. This is crucially important for the island of Ireland and it's important that we have our interests protected".
