A "major blow for struggling families" is East Londonderry MLA John Dallat's reaction to planned cuts to school uniform grants.

The Department of Education is slashing uniform funding from the start of next school term:

It's falling by Three Million Pounds to just under Two Million, as the Department is strapped for cash.
