A man has been arrested and bailed after more than 200 cannabis plans were found inside a house in Keady.

They were discovered during a search on the Drumnahavil Road yesterday.

We're told safety risks mean the PSNI's having to move slowly through the building as its investigation continues.

Chief Inspector Barney O’Connor said "Officers discovered the factory yesterday (Monday, 18 June) at a house in the Drumnahavil Road area of Keady and found in excess of 200 cannabis plants inside it.

"Due to the risks involving electricity abstraction alongside the conditions of the buildings and the plants were being harvested in we are having to move slowly through the site in order to make it safe.

"A man in his forties was arrested in connection with the find and has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

"Anyone with information should contact 101 quoting reference 1222 18/06/18.  Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime."
