A man has been arrested by detectives investigating the ill-treatment of Muckamore Abbey Hospital patients.
The 56-year-old was arrested this morning in Antrim and is the 25th person to be arrested in the largest criminal investigation of its kind in Northern Ireland.
Seven people are to be prosecuted for the alleged mistreatment of patients at the facility in Co Antrim which cares for vulnerable adults and is operated by the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust.
The seven face a range of offences including ill-treatment and willful neglect.
A public inquiry into the Muckamore Abbey Hospital abuse scandal is due to begin in spring 2022.
The inquiry was ordered last year by Health Minister Robin Swann.
