Old Homer 'leaves' European Tree comp in 6th place

And finally Rostrevor Oak 'Old Homer' has come in sixth place, in the European Tree of the Year contest.

The crown went to Polish tree 'Oak Józef'.  

The two hundred year-old in Kilbroney Park was up against sixteen others and secured over seven thousand votes.

It was named Northern Ireland's most loved tree in 2016.
