Police are appealing for information following the burglary of a newsagents on the Mountjoy Road on Wednesday of last week. The break-in happened in the early hours of the morning - cigarettes and money stolen from the premises during the incident.
“The incident was reported sometime between 1.15 AM and 2.30 AM. After entry was gained to the premises a quantity of cigarettes and a sum of money were stolen," a police spokesperson said.
“We are appealing for anyone with information who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area of Bridge Street, Drumragh Avenue or the Bus Depot at that time or have information about the incident or anyone who may be offered similar items for sale in suspicious circumstances to contact police at Omagh on 101 quoting crime reference number 201 of 27/7/2016," he continued.
