Over 17,000 take part in Belfast City Marathon

Around 17,000 people from all around the world, and of all abilities, are competing in the flagship May bank holiday event.

The route begins at City Hall and finishes in Ormeau Park, taking in all parts of the city, from Sydenham to the Falls Road, Whitehouse to the Ravenhill Road.

The top runners expected to come back through the city centre at about twenty to ten.

Joel Kipsang of Kenya will be going for his fourth win, while in the women's race- Northern Ireland's very own Laura Graham will hope to repeat her 2017 supremacy.
