A local Councillor says parking problems in the Drumalane Road area of Newry is now becoming a health and safety issue.
It follows complaints from residents about the footpaths being blocked.
Councillor Charlie Casey says it's a particularly bad problem for those with mobility issues and pedestrians who have to walk on the road as a result.
The Sinn Féin representative has met with the manager of The Quays shopping centre to tackle the issue.
It's understood despite the massive amount of parking spaces in the centre, people are still choosing to park on the Drumalane Road and Fathom Line.
Councillor Casey described the meeting as constructive, as both parties share concerns about the problem.
