A teenage girl has been sexually assaulted at an outdoor event in south Belfast.

Police say it happened at approximately 10.30pm on Saturday night in Ormeau Park, close to a fast food van.

The attacker is said to be around 17 years old, 5’ 8” and slim with dark-blonde wavy hair.

Police want two girls who assisted the victim to get in touch as they could help with enquiries.

Detectives are appealing for information on the sexual assault of a teenage girl in the Ormeau area of south Belfast.
