Police are renewing their appeal for information on the weekend petrol bombing of a house in Tandragee. Local representatives say the attack at Austin Drive in the town could easily have resulted in loss of life.

A man in his 30s and woman in her 20s escaped injury when a device was thrown at the front of the house early on Saturday morning.

Police and firefighters rushed to the scene to deal with the fire.

Smoke damage was caused to the kitchen of the property as a result of the incident.

Newry and Armagh DUP Assembly member William Irwin has condemned the incident saying a number of pensioners and young children also live in the area.
