Belfast International Airport says an investigation's been launched into an altercation between two groups of passengers.
It happened yesterday evening in the airside departures area.
A video which has been viewed more than 35,000 times on Twitter shows what appears to be passengers shouting and throwing objects at each other - including shopping baskets.
The footage also shows a man raise what appears to be a metal pole into the air.
Other passengers can be seen leaving the area to avoid the commotion.
The incident was resolved after both the airport police and the PSNI were called to the scene.
In a statement an spokesperson for Belfast International Airport said:
“An altercation between two groups of passengers occurred on Saturday evening in the airside departures area. Both the airport police and PSNI were in attendance and the incident has since been resolved. An investigation into the incident is now ongoing.”
A further statement said:
"The incident involving two groups of passengers on Saturday evening was unsettling for both passengers and staff alike"
"The incident, in its entirety, lasted seven minutes with police arriving on scene within three minutes. The rapid intervention of Police was not captured in the videos posted on social media"
"Airport police, PSNI, and staff are to commended for their professionalism in dealing with this incident in such a swift manner"
