Police hunt horse hit-and-run driver

Officers are asking for the public's help to track down a hit-and-run driver who injured a horse.

It's believed to have happened around five on Sunday on Templeburn Road in Crossgar.

The wounded animal was found by a firefighter.

A severe shoulder injury meant a vet had to put it down.

Police are asking locals to get in contact if they notice any unexplained damage to vehicles in their area.
