Police are continuing to investigate a fire at Monkey Lane in Cookstown which could have resulted in tragedy.
The fire broke out in the alleyway off James Street on Saturday, May 27th – police have just released details.
It was safely extinguished at around 3am.
No-one was injured in the blaze.
However, some damage was caused to the wall of a shop.
Police say this incident could have been far more serious, if it wasn’t for the swift actions of the Fire and Rescue Service.
