Police to breath-test drivers under no suspicion

As the festive season gets into full swing, local police say they'll be conducting a number of pre-planned vehicle checkpoints.

These will be carried out using new legislation allowing police to breath-test drivers where no suspicion of alcohol exists.

Chief Inspector Stephen McCauley recently spoke to Q Radio News:
