Knife seized by PSNI Craigavon

by Gráinne Connolly

Parents are being asked to speak to their children about the risks of knife crime, after a weapon was seized from a juvenile in Craigavon.

Police say it originated out of an anti-social behaviour call, which led to a stop and search operation.

In a facebook post, Craigavon PSNI says some parents need to step up and "need to have conversations with their children about the risks of knife crime."

"Carrying a knife makes you more likely to be the victim of a stabbing. It also makes you more likely to end up with a criminal record."
