Rescue underway at Belfast's Cavehill

A rescue operation has taken place in Belfast after a woman fell from the area of Cavehill known as Napoleon’s Nose.

The young student from Holland was airlifted form the side of Cavehill Country Park in North Belfast this evening.

She's told rescue teams she was there since yesterday. 

Emergency services were called to a wooded area under the rockface known as 'Nepolians nose' this afternoon.

A man walking with his son discovered the womans hand bag and began the search. 

The 20 year old fell a distance from a cliffed area during high winds yesterday. 

She's now said to be in a stable condition in hospital with Multiple broken bones.
