A search for a suspicious object reportedly thrown at a police car over the weekend has ended.
The anonymous tip claimed it was hurled at a patrol vehicle in the Culmore Park area of Omagh on Saturday, January 2.
However officers have found ''nothing untoward'' following searches in the area.
Superintendent Alywin Barton said, “I would like to apologise for any disruption as we worked to ensure the safety of residents and also would like to thank the local community for their patience and support.

''Our investigation into this matter is continuing and I would appeal to anyone who sees or finds anything suspicious or out of place in the area not touch it but to call police straight away on 999.
''I would also appeal to anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area on Saturday night to contact police on 101.''
