Searches continue for missing Newtownabbey man Dean McIlwaine

The friends and family of a 22 year old missing man are continuing to frantically search for him.

Dean McIlwaine from Newtownabbey hasn't been seen for over four days.

He was last seen in the Carnmoney Road area of Newtownabbey around 1pm on Thursday 13th.

Searches have been organised to take place in Belfast City Centre and surrounding areas on Monday night.

Volunteers will gather at the back of the City Hall at 8pm.

Sergeant David Coulter said: “Police are becoming increasingly concerned about the whereabouts of 22 year old Dean McIlwaine from the Newtownabbey area. 

“Dean is described as being 5’8” in height; of medium build with blue eyes, dark hair and a beard. He also has sleeve tattoos on both arms.

“He was last seen in the Carnmoney Road area of Newtownabbey yesterday (Thursday 13 July) at around 1pm, wearing a light coloured tee-shirt, blue denim shorts and flip-flops.

“We would ask Dean or anyone who has seen him or knows his whereabouts to make contact with police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 121 of 14/7/17.”
