Police have confirmed that a new search has started today for the remains of missing Castlederg schoolgirl Arlene Arkinson.
The 15-year-old was last seen with the convicted child killer Robert Howard in 1994 after she attended a disco in County Donegal.
A field near Killen, just outside Castlederg was sealed off yesterday following reports of a disturbed piece of earth.
It's understood a farmer reported the incident less than a mile from where the teenager was last seen alive.
Specialist search teams arrived in Northern Ireland this morning to begin searches.
The PSNI say the Arkinson Family have been informed.
Howard, died in prison last year as the main suspect in Arlene's disappearance.
He'd previously been aquitted of the killing by a jury who didn't know about his violent past.
A long awaited inquest into Arlene's death is currently going through the coronors court in Belfast.
