Southern Trust nurse receives prestigious award at RCN annual congress

Julianne received her award at the RCN annual congress held in Belfast

Lead Community Children’s Nurse for the Southern Trust, Julianne Lee has received a prestigious Royal College of Nursing Award.

Julianne received the RCN Impact Award at the opening ceremony of the RCN Congress 2018 in the Waterfront Hall, Belfast last Saturday.

Julianne was funded through the Marcia Mackie Bursary Scheme to complete her Masters in Caring for Children and Young People with Complex Needs and her dissertation is in the process of being published.

Congratulating Julianne on her award, Director of Children and Young People’s Services for the Southern Trust, Paul Morgan said:

“We are absolutely delighted that Julianne has received this award in recognition of the impact she has achieved in improving nursing care and patient experience.

"Julianne is committed to continually developing her staff and the services she provides.

"Many thanks to this bursary and through Julianne’s dedication, she has been able to learn new ways to support her team and improve the very important service she provides to children and young people with very complex needs and their families.”
