Thousands of pupils will get their all important GCSE grades this morning

It's the first time pupils in Northern Ireland will be graded under the English exam boards - meaning results will go from 9-1 as opposed to A* to G.


It's hoped it will distinguish more between the highest achievers.

 

Pupils last year continued to outperform their counterparts in the rest of the UK
